Meet Lana Smith

Hello, I’m Lana Smith. When I built my own home in the Dallas area, I was searching for beautiful, high-quality blinds, shades, and drapery that would perfectly complement the tones of my floors and walls.

Unfortunately, the options I found lacked quality and style. I had to search beyond the discount retailers and chain stores whose names we know so well.

That’s when my lifelong obsession with fashion and design gave way to acquiring Made in the Shade Blinds North DFW.

When Pamela decided it was time to update her windows, she chose Made in the Shade for her Argyle window treatments project. Word of mouth brought her to us. Her experience is a good example of what that looks like, straight from the client's side.

I had read recommendations about Made in the Shade, so when I decided to cover my windows I called Lana. She was prompt in making an appointment with me and came prepared. I had an idea about what I wanted and she was very helpful to me with final decisions.

When my order was complete, her installer contacted me. He was very professional and very knowledgeable about hanging shades and window treatments. We are very pleased with the quality, service, and professionalism of this company.

We have dealt recently with other businesses that have not had the customer as a priority, so dealing with Made in the Shade was a breath of fresh air. We love our new beautiful window treatments.

Pamela's Argyle Window Treatments Project

Pamela's project included sheer drapery panels for her living room. She also chose motorized top down bottom up honeycomb shades for the living room and breakfast nook. Cornice board top treatments finished out the breakfast nook windows. The honeycomb shades give her precise light control. She can let light in from the top of the window while keeping the bottom covered for privacy. The sheer drapery and cornice boards round out the layered, finished look she wanted.
