Transforming a client’s home is what I live for. I wanted to share a recent window treatment project with you. My clients built their dream house twice. Eighteen months after completing their home, a tornado destroyed it. They replaced their custom door, but it just didn’t look right. Because this window above the door was such an essential part of their home, I was honored they reached out to me because of the projects I had done with decorative faux iron. It was the exact look they were going for.
Step #1: Creating a Design Concept
Creating beautiful window treatments for your home is a collaborative process at Made in the Shade. We streamline a complex design process and work hand-in-hand with you to create one-of-a-kind, custom-designed, professionally installed treatments.
From the first phone call to the final installation, we work diligently to make the vision you have for your space a vibrant reality. Our goal is not just to meet your expectations, but to exceed them, leaving you delighted every time you look at your custom-designed window treatments. The joy and satisfaction of seeing your vision come to life is what drives us.
Before the consultation, I gave my clients a ballpark of the cost, which was helpful to both of us. At the consultation, I got to know my clients and discussed the look and feel they wanted. Their style was transitional. We explored the large selection of decorative grille designs and color options. They wanted something that looked great with their existing decor and did not look too Tuscan. We settled on the perfect design and color to complement their door color and interior design.

Step #2: Fabricating Start to Finish
I was able to get the final measurements on site that day, along with all of the other design decisions. I created the contract on-site, and they paid a 50% deposit. I sent the custom order to the fabricator. They made a beautiful choice, and it will look fantastic.
Step #3: Revealing the End Result
After a few weeks, the installation date arrived, and my professional installer arrived promptly to install the custom decorative grille. It was an easy install, taking around an hour to complete from start to clean up. The clients love the transformation of their doors. They were so thrilled they immediately left me a 5-star review. My favorite part is how their doors look; they were always supposed to look like this. The last step of the process is for my clients to enjoy their new custom decorative grille.
I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and pride when I can help clients like these who have faced numerous setbacks in their forever home. Together, we completed the focal point of their home just as they envisioned it. As they walk past this door multiple times daily, I’m thrilled that they feel inspired and motivated, admiring their beautiful door rather than remembering the past destruction of their home.
